Stephanie Salmon is an artist from Huntsville, Ontario. She shares her life with a loving husband and their daughter, who lives with the rare CASK gene mutation. After a 25 year hiatus, Stephanie has recently returned to painting, finding it both a creative and calmong outlet amidst life's challenges.

This painting reflects my journey through motherhood, the beauty of pregnancy, shaped by raising a child with a rare genetic disorder. It captures both the challenges and the joy found in simple comforts like music, baths and water which are essential for her child's emotional well being. The Hour Glass symbolizes time's fleeting, uncertain nature, reminding us to cherish each moment and embrace the beauty in the present.
